Engaging in Horizon Europe projects: What’s first?

Organised by Luxinnovation under the Fit4NMP project, the event “Engaging in Horizon Europe projects: What’s first?” was held on the 8th of November at the Chambre de Commerce. Its main objective was to provide a detailed tour guide on the necessary sequential steps to be taken by newcomer organisations wanting to get engaged in Horizon Europe projects, from conceiving the project to the basics of proposal writing.

More than 20 participants, most of which potential newcomer Luxembourgish organisations to the Horizon Europe Programme, had the opportunity to listen to inspiring stories and relevant tips for a successful participation. All the 4 speakers focused on the different but rather complementary aspects:

  • Francisco Melo (EU R&D Advisor @Luxinnovation) guided the participants through the key first actions to engage in European projects.

  • Flavien Massi (Senior Project Manager @Intrasoft) explained how a top applicant processes the incorporation of newcomer organisations in its Horizon Europe project proposals.

  • Stavros Theofanidis (CTO and Co-owner @Aristeng) described the key success factors for newcomer organisations to succeed in Horizon Europe projects.

  • Giles Brandon (Managing director @Intelligentsia Consultants) provided a light introduction to the Horizon Europe proposal template.
